Summer Hair

Friday, June 13, 2014

I have found myself constantly pinning fun hair styles lately so I thought I would share some of my latest pins. These are all hairstyles I would like to "attempt" and think they would be perfect for summer time or anytime you want to change things up with your hair. After all, this quote says it best…

So…here are some of my favorite styles that I'm making myself try this summer.

Thanks for reading. Let me know what or if you will be experimenting with any fun new hairstyles this summer. I'm definitely going to be resorting to some youtube videos for sure. Hopefully, I will master one and do an update post. Stay tuned. ;)

Travel Necessities - Summer Vacay

Thursday, June 12, 2014

In two weeks we will be on our way to Mexico! Whoop Whoop! So if you know me, you know I'm a planner. You also know that I love a list. I probably have 5 different lists in my purse at all times, no joke.

I created my packing check list and wanted to share it with you guys. I created it one night this week when I obviously had nothing better to do. Sarcasm - I should have been doing laundry, unloading the dishwasher, etc. but how darn cute is this?

One of my worst feelings is when I feel unprepared or unorganized. On our honeymoon, I felt uneasy when I couldn't find out tickets and wished I had something I could put everything all together. I found this awesome product on…you guessed it, Pinterest and ordered it. It has all the compartments I need and now I will not be digging in my purse on this trip trying to find my passport, tickets or anything else important I will need. Praise The Lord!

I just think this product is awesome and cannot wait to start organizing…I know, I'm a nerd.

I also want to get this…

My friend, Hannah, introduced this to me the other day when we went to the pool. It is a microfiber beach towel and super thin but very absorbent. The best part is no more lugging big heavy towels to the beach. And….another "best" part about this if you get sand on it, simply shake it and it is so much easier to get out verses the regular towel. Now I just have to decide which one…

I found these from a very cute shop on Etsy. Be sure and check them out!

Anyways, I hope everyone is having a great week and tomorrow is Friday, whooohoo! Have a great weekend everyone!

Weekend Recap :: Wedding Time

Tuesday, June 10, 2014

This past weekend, we went to a sweet wedding of some friends of ours. Corey was in the wedding for one of his friends he played baseball with ever since he was little.

I love weddings and I especially love a good reason to get all dressed up. I bought this dress a couple of years ago and this is my first time wearing it. I believe it is the agatha dress. Anyways, I finally wore it. I'm trying to do better at not having clothes with tags still on them living in my closet. Either wear them or get rid of them is my new motto.

Dress & Belt: Lilly Pulitzer
Clutch: Gigi New York
Shoes: Kohl's

Corey and Brad having a bromance moment.

Below is what I wore for the wedding. I was trying to find the most light-weight, flowy dress I could find because I knew the weather was going to be a scorcher.

That was our weekend, hope y'all had a good one!

Tuesday blues

Tuesday, June 3, 2014

Hi loves. I wanted to share my latest epiphany that I discovered totally by mistake. A couple of days ago I purchased this nail polish at Walgreens when I was picking up some neccecities and really liked the color. It is L'oreal in Skinny Jeans. It is a great summer color when I feel like being 'wild and adventurous'. A couple days later I decided I was no longer wanting my go-to polish of 'too hot pink to hold em' and wanted to give skinny jeans a try. I put the first coat on and all of a sudden these little bubbles would appear once it dried. I was kinda ticked off thinking that I would have chooses the malfunctioned nail polish. I put on another coat to see if the bubbles would go away and that's when I realized the polish is supposed to have the bebbled shinny look - duh. I felt so stupid but it turns out I really liked it. First off, I love L'oreal's nail polish anyways. It's super easy to put on - something about the applicator fits to my nails perfectly and I can quickly do my nails in a sintch without having to worry about the polish laying flat. This comes in handy a lot, especially when I change my polish twice a week on the reg - my poor nails. I think L'oreal might even beat OPI.

Here's some pictures to show you just what I'm talking about.

From afar it just looks like it has some shimmer to the color but up close you can see the bebbled look.

The best part is, if you do happen to mess up when painting, you will not be able to tell! For instance, I like to paint my nails in the bed so that I can let them dry while watching tv or whatnot. Sometimes the polish is not always dry and will wrinkle and have pressed marks from where I had slept the next morning. With this polish, it already has the texture on top so you don't even have to worry about that.

I just had to share my little mistake that turned out to be an awesome outcome that I would have not chosen myself.

Happy Tuesday everyone.
